KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU

3 Days/2 Nights Desert Tour

Day 1: Marrakech Ait Ben Haddou Rose Valley Dades Gorges 
Morning pick up from your Riad in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), the highest road passing Morocco. Offering panoramic views of the snow capped High Atlas Mountains and the magnificent landscapes. Visit the extraordinary sight of the Atlas Mountains Kasbah Telouet, a rustic town that was a principal stop of the caravan route. Here visit an amazing relic of Moroccan history, the crumbling Kasbah.  Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO protected, built on a hilltop and featured in many movies such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. The views from the upper heights are awe inspiring and worth climbing through the winding, narrow streets. After lunch in Ait Ben Haddou village, follow the road of Thousand Kasbah to Skoura Oasis and Rose Valley to Boumalne Dades. Pass the strange rock creation of Tamnalt Hills. Arrive to valley gorge of Dades, carved for centuries by the Dades River deep gorge that towers above the road.
Day 2:  Dades Gorges Todra Gorges Merzouga Erg Chebbi 
Transfer from Dades Gorges to Merzouga via the Todra Gorge, the highest oasis valley gorge in Morocco. The gorge cuts into the ocher-colored cliffs of the High Atlas. Its walls are 300 meters high and at their most narrow, are a merely 20 meters apart. Then continue your journey towards Merzouga where your guide and camels will be waiting for you to carry you across the sand dunes of Moroccan Sahara desert. Camel trek as the sunset across a desert landscape, for about 1 hour and half to reach your desert camp and home for the night.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi Merzouga N'kob - Marrakech 
After breakfast in the desert, saddle your camels and depart to Mezgouga to shower and depart. Leave via an ancient city of Rissani, famous for during the old ages for the caravan routes. Then continue passing the volcanic Sarhro mountains - so different to the Atlas Mountains. Then meet up with the Draa valley lined by many palm groves. Expected arrival to Marrakech at 7pm.

4 Days/3 Nights Desert Tour

2 Days/1 Night to Zagora Desert

Day 1: Marrakech High Atlas Mountain Zagora (camel ride and night in a camp)

Visit the extraordinary sight of the Atlas Mountains and Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. A UNESCO protected world heritage, built on a hilltop and featured in many movies such as 'Gladiator' and 'Lawrence of Arabia'. We will have lunch in the Kasbah, then continue to Zagora where you will find your camel waiting for you with an experienced guide. Your first night will be spent in the desert, sleeping in a traditional Berber nomad tent.
Day 2: Zagora Ouarzazate Marrakech
After breakfast at the camp, we will drive back to Zagora by camel. After freshening up, we will return to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the Tizi n'Tichka pass, arriving in the evening. Expect the arrival time around 6pm.
